This is the first time this summer i've worn shorts....such exciting stuff happening today, right! How this is my 1st time wearing shorts this season is beyond me, especially when Texas reaches 150 degrees everyday. These shorts are so comfy, they are kind of stretchy and really soft...their just right!

I wasn't sure about this pairing of tops, but then i read, in the latest issue of Glamour, a quote by Gabi Gregg of, Young Fat and Fabulous, that said "stop saying i wish i could pull that off, and just do it!" So today im taking her advice. I must say, i'm liking this pairing very much! Twice this week i've worn something a certain way i'd been admiring but never dared, and the results have been awesome! You should try too, we all need to get out of our comfort zones sometimes!

May I have S'more Please.....

Anybody have a favorite summer treat? I do!! S'mores but not just any s'mores....Italian s'mores. Sure the original kind are great too, but why not make them a little special. Ever notice how sugar and butter combined make everything sooo much better...just like in these s'mores. Trust me these s'mores are so worth every bite. Marshmallow's and chocolate where do I sign up!

It just so happens 13 is my favorite number (Taylor Swift's got nothing on me!) and it's suiting that this is one of my favorite outfits. Ive been loving the "necklace over a buttoned up shirt" look for some time now, i just never tried it. I thought i couldn't pull it off, but i feel like it works. Especially with my "Carrie Bradshaw" bun. What say you?

I love this shirt! It's so flowy and light, it's a size medium and it still feels a little big, way to make a girl feel skinny Forever21....props! 

Did you notice my nails? Their such a fun polka dot design. I'm doing a ladybug nail on Libby tonight, perfect for summer! Do you have any favorite nail designs?

Happy Tuesday! I already miss the weekend..I'd love to share with you some of the activities I've been up to....ok maybe just one. Hanging out at the pool! It's so hot in S.A that's the only place we want to be. Now I'm not one of those girls that "lays" out and gets tan....are you kidding me I don't tan I get VERY VERY dark. I'm that girl that spends ALL her time in the water. When we were little Katy, Mandy and I would spend all summer in our pool. If you ask us our fav summer memory we'd tell you it was lounging by the pool eating frozen fruit. Aaaaah memories. Since we were at the pool I decided to do a "Whats in my pool bag" Now I don't have anything fancy just your basic snacks, water, reads and hat. (I've been obsessing over this hat ever since I got it @ Forever 21)  If you look closely I even used my DIY beach bag. What a relaxing day....can't wait to do it again!

DIY: Rope Headband

Hello Lovely readers!!! Today is Magazonday and i have a great one for ya! A rope headband is the mission this monday and this is so easy to make. The hardest part is tying the knot, and even that isn't hard.

Here's what you'll need:

Now to tie the knot here's what you'll do:

I used 6 strands of rope all the same length, you can use less or more...whatever your little heart desires.

Split the amount of rope your using in half and make two loops, I did two loops of 3 strands. Name them A & B, this will make it easier.

Take loop B and put it under A, it'll now look like an oval, then take the ends of loop A and feed them through loop B, and your done!

Pull tight and the knot will become smaller.

Then take the ends of the rope and hot glue them around the rubberband.

DONE! Told you it was easy!

This vest is really starting to become my favorite, i love how it goes with literally everything. I would've never thought Army green would be so versatile. It also makes me wanna layer up like this girl. Isn't she fabulous!

Roll the Credits...

I have to give credit where credit is due. This post was made possible by multiple people so I cant take credit for it all. I probably go in to Einsteins Bros. Bagels almost everyday, OK who am I kidding I go in there EVERYDAY! So much that the employees already know me by name, yeah I know that's too much. They have the most amazing blackberry lemonade hence this blackberry lemonade post! I couldn't find their recipe so I just went for another one, but the results are just as good.

(Thank you Einsteins for this glorious lemonade, oh and your cinnamon sugar bagels)

This week I was a busy camper so Katy decided to step in and actually make this lemonade for everyone! I know what your thinking "Wow she is so nice!" Stop right there ladies, blogs are deceiving.

I love stripes. Stripes...stripes...stripes! They are like polka dots to me, they take every outfit to that next level. I especially love them paired with prints. Alas, i'm wearing just a brown top, but i did pair them with my printed nails. In an attempt to make my gold manicure last i shattered my nails. Did you know if you paint the shatter polish on from different angles, you get different shatters? I know right....awesome! Well hopefully my manicure lasts another few days but then i am so doing this on my nails!

Hello hello! I'm so so excited for this post! When I first made this Caesar Club Sandwich for my sisters they flipped out....but in a good way. Truth is I kind of recreated a sandwich I had at La Madeleine. It was one of the best sandwich's I've ever had. I immediately came home and looked up any recipe that was similar and I found this recipe from Ina Garten. Don't ya just love her! Instead of using Ina's caesar dressing I opted for another chef's. Her name is Jennifer from Once Upon A Chef.....trust me you'll thank me later. Her blog is fabulous with so many great recipes. If you've ever made homemade caesar dressing you know that it calls for anchovy paste....I know I know sounds gross. But trust me it makes the dressing soooo worth it. I even went an extra step and made my own anchovy paste. Yup I was in a bit of a cooking mood today. Trust me this sandwich is so good that Katy would eat this every day if she had the chance, she already decided she wants it to be her birthday dinner. Enjoy and have a great friday!!

Double Digits

Yay, i have finally reached double digits in my 30x30 challenge. 

In other news it's still in the three digit temps here in San Antonio. It is hot and humid possibly the worst combo ever. Except for of course the combo of glass nail polish bottles and clumsy hands. Yep i broke a NEW, excited to wear, just bought 3 hours ago nail polish. That's the color up there in all it's gold glory! If you follow us on twitter you probably saw my tweet. It was heartbreaking, and i'm pretty sure that was the only one in that color left. Luckily there was exactly enough to paint both hands....talk about a silver lining!
