Of all the years we've been living in San Antonio (which is our whole life) we have never been to the River Parade during Fiesta. It was a first for us and we loved it! Watching floats down a river may seem boring but when you have margaritas and free medals its worth it!
If your wondering why we need medals, well I don't know the answer, but people go crazy for them during Fiesta. Their equivalent to foursquare badges -- people love getting them and they give you major street cred. We only got 3 (between the three of us) I guess you can tell how much street cred we have.
