How to get a smokey bronze eye

For summer I keep my makeup to a bare minimum. Bronzer, lipstick & mascara is pretty much all I need, but sometimes I want to venture out. This bronzy smokey eye is perfect for "venturing out" & its done in just 8 steps. You need just a few products & voila' your eyes have a totally fun, summery look. I'm totally turned off by all those tutorials that take 20 minutes or that have a million & one steps. That's why I wanted to keep it laid back & easy. If I can do it so can you! 

STEP 1. Prime your eyelids. I like to put a little primer underneath my lower lash line as well    

STEP 2. Take a bronze color & put it all over your top lid

STEP 3. Take a nice grey color (try to stay away from black, you want a softer look) Apply it to your crease & your outer corner

STEP 4.  Take that same grey color & apply it underneath your lower lash line, blend well

STEP 5. Take a bigger fluffy brush & make sure to blend your top eyelid as best as possible. You don't want any harsh edges

STEP 6. Take a lighter color, a highlighter, & apply it right underneath your brow bone

STEP 7. Take a brown eye pencil & very lightly line your top lash line. I like the softness of lining my eye very very lightly

STEP 8. Take a black pencil & line the inside of your WHOLE eye. Don't let any white show inside your eye

Summer Trends: Bright Lips & Nails

We've always been those girls that LIVE for fun bright nail polishes & over the past few months we're definitely those girls that LOVE a fun lip color. During summer that's all you need, a good bronzer & a bright lip color. With three girls we have all the nail polishes & lipsticks a girl needs. Seriously our nail polish collection is massive! That's the best thing about having sisters, our closets & beauty collections expand!!!!

This summer don't be afraid of color. Color in your wardrobe, on your face & on your nails. After all, color is the BIGGEST trend for summer. Rock those fuschia pinks & that tangerine orange.

Stepped out in: Versona!

Yesterday we were invited to the grand opening of a new accessory store called Versona. Needless to say we fell in love. They had so many great pieces and all at great prices!! I'm pretty sure we would have bought the whole store but our bank accounts wouldn't allow us. Although I'm pretty sure none of us would be upset if we spent all our money on rings, necklaces and bracelets! Overdraft, what? We did walk away with some really cute stuff! 

We've already worn most of our jewelry and have gotten compliments from everyone! (If that doesn't get you to go in the store I don't know what will) Who doesn't love compliments! Thank you Versona for inviting us and letting us spend your money. You made us look glitzy and glamorous!

Cherry Beer Margarita

Are you ready for the recipe for your go to summer drink? I hope you said YES because today that's what i have for you! This is seriously one of my new favorite cocktails. These are so easy to make, you literally measure everything in the limeade can, stir everything up and DRINK em! Promise me you'll try them? At home pedi in 8 easy steps

Aaaaah summer you're officially here! It's about time we get to break out the swimsuits, put on our big floppy hats & rock those sky high wedges. First things first, summer's all about having a stunning pedicure. Don't worry we got ya covered!!

STEP 1. Fill a bowl with warm water & a handful of epsom salt. Let your feet soak for about about 10 minutes.
STEP 2. Take a foot file (we prefer our ped egg) & gently buff your feet to get rid of any dry skin or callouses. This will leave your feet nice & smooth!
STEP 3. Take a foot scrub of your choice we used "lem-oe-nut", & scrub your feet for a few good minutes then rinse off.
STEP 4. Take your nail clippers & trim your toe nails. Use your nail file to round out the edges of your nails & use your cuticle pusher to gently push back your cuticles. I like to use the same tool to clean underneath my toe nails.
STEP 5. Take your nail buffer & buff every toe nail. Most nail buffers have the steps written on the actual buffer itself. When you take the time to buff your nails it helps the nail polish last longer. Make sure to take a tiny bit of nail polish remover & remove any gunk from your nails before STEP 6, you want your nail polish to go on smoothly!
STEP 6.  Take a base coat & apply it to your toe nail. After that dries paint your toe nails with your favorite color. When the color is good & dry slap on a top coat to ensure the color won't chip
STEP 7.  Take a q-tip & dip it in a tiny bit of olive oil & rub it along your cuticles this helps to moisturize them, also be sure to clean up any stray polish left on your skin!
STEP 8. Grab your favorite lotion & slather some onto your feet, try to avoid your toe nails they may still be wet from the polish!

Are y'all ready for all those summer shoes? We sure are, but who are we kidding we pretty much wear open toed shoes year round here in S.A. Being the little diy-er's (I just made that word up) that we are, we have a few foot scrub recipes that are super easy to whip up at home. They'll leave your feet looking sandalicious!

Watermelon Granita

The BEST thing about being a blogger is all the great people you meet. We've been so fortunate to meet some amazing people. One person we absolutely adore is Nina Holland, she's truly a great friend. She has the best taste with everything, maybe that's why she likes us :)) Recently she sent Mandy a birthday gift, which we have used a ton! It's a great cookbook by The Pioneer Woman. Boy that gal has some fantastic recipes. There was one recipe that I've been dying to try but the only problem is I HATE watermelon. But I thought "what the heck" & since summer's here in TX are brutal it seemed like the best recipe to try. Have I mentioned all you do is freeze the watermelon & you're dish is done, yeah I knew that might get y'alls attention!

I am a HUGE pinterest lover, I've found so many awesome things on there, this recipe being one of them! I adapted it from this original recipe and it is amazing! If you love avocados and cheese, you will love this!

Simple Beachy Hair

One little fact about me, during the summer I almost NEVER fix my hair. I know what you're thinking, but don't worry I still wash & brush my hair (although some people may disagree) I just love to go for that "beachy messy hair" When summer rolls around I pretty much keep my blow dryer 20 feet away. If I can go all summer with no heat on my hair I'm extremely happy. I just wash, spray in some beachy texturizing product, that I make myself btw & I'm off! It's just my little way of bringing the beach to me every single day!

Strawberry Delight

Summer is finally here! You know what that means, lots of fresh fruit, refreshing drinks by the pool & the occasional ice cream cone. I'm a big fruit lover, especially strawberries. Ooooh especially strawberries with chocolate. Ok well this salad doesn't have chocolate covered strawberries but it does have some other great ingredients. Don't ya just love salads you just throw all the ingredients together! This salad is incredibly easy to make & it tastes delicious. It's sweet, creamy & a little tangy. It really is a great summer dish!

Original Playlist

I'm kind of what I like to call a music connoisseur. It's kind of my thing, well I like to think it is. As of June 1st it is officially summer in my world. I figure this because I am no longer in high school, which we all know is when you actually get a REAL summer vaca. So I chose June 1st to be the official day for me to start living in my bathing suit and flip flops while lounging by the pool for hours on end. See what I mean, nice huh? 

Of course I'm gonna need something to listen to for all my hours of poolage and beachage, so I came up with this. lets call it a "summer playlist" shall we -- how original right? It includes some old, some new, some maybe never heard, some maybe heard to much, rap, hip-hop, alternative, techno and country (c'mon i had to, I'm from Texas y'all)

Tons of variety for your hearing pleasure. Originally I was just gonna make you all listen to my "ghetto gurl" playlist on repeat (and yes that is a real playlist on my Spotify -- don't get it twisted ::triple snap::) but I thought you might hate me for that, and lets face i I wanna be liked so hear you go! I hope you like it as much as me! It's kind of already on repeat!
