SUMMERTIME!
Well not yet, although it does feel like it down here in Texas...but it is creeping up quite fast.
I desperately need to start getting prepared for swimsuit, shorts & sandal season, so i've decided to bring my preparations to you!
I will probably be living in sandals for the next couple of months, so I need to have cute feet! This 1st tutorial is a homemade brown sugar foot scrub! The brown sugar helps slough off the dead skin cells, while the aloe vera gel helps to soothe your feet.
Brown Sugar Foot Scrub
2 tablespoons brown sugar
2 tablespoons *ground oats
2 tablespoons aloe vera gel
1 tablespoon honey
1 teaspoon freshly squeezed lemon juice
1 teaspoon olive oil
*make sure you grind the oatmeal in a coffee grinder or food processor, otherwise the oats will scratch up your feet.
Combine all the ingredients...Mix and the scrub should look something like this...
Now, using circular motions, rub it all over your feet. Massage gently and then rinse with warm water.
If your a girl who has never had to deal with cellulite, consider yourself lucky. Unfortunately it's hereditary and not easy to get rid of, But it may be easy to mask with exercise and a little help of this scrub. This next tutorial is a coffee body scrub. Coffee not only tastes good, it's actually good for your skin. When coffee is applied to your skin, it helps redistribute fat cells and decrease the formation of cellulite.
Coffee Body Scrub
2 cups of coffee grounds
1/2 cup raw sugar
2/3 tablespoon of baby oil
*you can add some Vanilla extract for a sweeter smell
Combine all the ingredients...Mix and the scrub should look something like this...
If it looks like soil, you've done good!
Apply the scrub to wet or damp skin. The best time is in the shower so that you can rinse it off after you apply it. Apply the scrub directly to your skin and rub it in circular motions, remember the circular motion helps to distribute the caffeine to eliminate cellulite.
I'm so excited to use these scrubs and get all ready for summer!
