Best Fall Beauty Finds

The transition from summer to fall is our favorite time of year. To know we won't be sweating just walking to our cars is a thrilling sensation. If you're not from the south you probably have no idea what we mean. (Aren't you lucky). We have some amazing items for you to try out this fall and they are all from H.E.B. 

We're keeping a little summer with us with the Loreal light infusing primer. It goes on smooth and gives your the most perfect sheen. Who says you have to give up the highlighted skin just because the weather is colder? Not us! 

Same goes for the Not Your Mothers "Way To Grow Your Hair" product. If you sported a shorter do this summer then fear no more. This product will help your hair grow into throes lucious locks everyone wants in the fall. And if you toughed it out with your long beachy waves this summer, high five! We did it! 

As far as your makeup goes the smokey eye can finally make it back on your face. While it might be a little to harsh during the summer nights, it's perfect for fall. :Dry brushing increases the circulation to the skin which COULD possibly reduce the appearance of cellulite. Cellulite is toxic material gathered up in your body’s fat cells. So, instead of taking drastic measures like liposuction, just utilize the dry skin brushing techniques to help break down unwanted toxins?

This may sound to good to be true! Basically all you have to do is take a few minutes before you get in the shower or just in your spare time and brush your skin. Not only does it help to break down the fat cells it also gets rid of the dry skin to show off your new, radiant skin. It makes your skin feel alive!! You'll just see all those nasty dead skin cells fall off and after you apply a body oil you'll be screaming "hallelujah." 

I found this method at the perfect time. Everyone (including me) are trying to get beautified for spring/summer and this method does two things at once. I know it may sound harsh for your skin but trust me it's all worth it! Do this method daily for a month and once you start to see those "dimples" go away you'll be really happy you tried it out. NYX's roll on shimmer in Pink is so subtle and girly. Its great for adding that pop of shimmer on your eyes and face. Dont go to crazy though, we all know how hard it is to take glitter off. Fresh FALL face by H.E.B

Fall is officially here, and with fall comes new makeup choices. We're well aware that in Texas it's still 88 degrees but just because it still feels hot doesn't mean our faces can't look fall like! This time of year we want to wear deep reds and purples on our lips, a great smokey eye and the perfect flushed cheeks. Lucky for you H.E.B carries everything you need. 

We compiled some of our favorite products from H.E.B that you can use to put your best (fall) face forward. 

We'll start with the eyes. L'oreal's color riche shadow quad in "stacked heels" has the perfect colors for fall. You can keep it light for the day if you want and build the intensity for a night out on the town. Also, purple compliments brown eyes perfectly. 

Coat your lashes with L'oreal voluminous mascara. Your lashes will be full and beautiful with no help from falsies. 

Move further down on your face to your cheeks. Use Physician's Formula multi colored blush in "blushing rose". It's SUCH a great color. It leaves your cheeks looking flushed, which is great because out in the cold your cheeks will naturally have a pink tint. This blush just helps out. No one wants to look like a clown right? Right! 

And now my favorite, lips! We are loving this Cover Girl jumbo gloss balm in "plum twist". This is the perfect wine color for your lips. It looks great on every skin tone and mouisterizes your lips for those chilly fall days. Plus, who doesn't love a color that reminds them of wine?

Berry Good Skin

In just a couple of weeks I'm getting ready to celebrate another birthday. Another year older and definitely wiser. But the older I get I start to see those lines around my eyes that I've never seen before. Even those "age defying" products start to seem like a good idea. I've always tried to take good care of my skin but now it just seems extra important. Thanks to Pinterest I found a link full of smoothie recipes perfect for keeping my face looking radiant. This recipes are full of kale, chai seeds and fruit. 

Just remember your diet is just as important as slathering on that sunblock. These recipes help to reduce any irritation and repair any damage, leaving your skin glowing. Cheers to healthy skin!

These are all my beauty fav's i've been loving all summer long! I won't be retiring them anytime soon! They are a little bit girly but also remind me of summer & who doesn't want to think of summer all year round?

H.E.B Loreal

L'oreal has long been one of our favorite brands, so when the H.E.B Beauty Department approached us about doing a beauty post we didn't hesitate. As you can see in some of our past posts, lip stains, lip sticks, nail polish etc, we cant get enough. Hmmm maybe H.E.B seems to know us pretty well.

We know L'oreal's products always live up to what they promise, and whats better in a company than that? We were lucky enough to try some of their newest products. The Color Vibrancy Nourishing shampoo, conditioner, their dual protecting spray and the L'oreal Revitalift Miracle Blur. Now, we've tried a bunch of shampoos and conditioners in our time and this one is one we can all agree works so well. It's designed to help nourish your hair and help the color from fading. So your hair color stays longer and more vibrant. It does just that as well as make your hair feel silky smooth and squeaky clean! The dual protecting spray helps to shield your color from fading out. It protects up to 450 degrees heat protection, wow! We heard some very good things about the Miracle Blur so we were so excited to try it. It's not a moisturizer. It's not a foundation. It's more than a primer. It really is a miracle. It's a sunscreen so you know it will protect your skin from harmful UV rays but it also helps smooth out fine lines and wrinkles. In the commercial when they say "my skin looked airbrushed" they weren't lying. Your skin looks flawless and wrinkle free. We would highly recommend all these products. L'oreal never seems to disappoint and neither does H.E.B!

Summer Beauty Favs!

Summer has all my favorite things. Tubing, margarita sippin', and beach babe texturizing spray. I'm a simple girl give me some coconut oil and lipstick and I'm great! Over the next few weeks we'll be sharing our favorite summer beauty products. Be on the lookout for Katy, Mandy and Emily's must haves. Till then, here are mine!

Glowing summer skin

Recently I've been reading all my labels on my beauty products. The thought of having Fragrance 1 or any other weird ingredient on my face is to much for me to handle. You know what one ingredient a LOT of beauty products have in common is, Glycerin. That little ingredient is probably in just about every facial product or hair product you own. Actually that ingredient works wonders when you pair it with some simple things like honey, egg whites, lemon juice or oats. Glycerin is a humectant, which means it attracts moisture to your skin. However if you use just pure glycerin it can dry out your skin so remember to ALWAYS dilute it. Glycerin is very easy to come by and it's very easy to make a facial mask with. I'm talking throw two or three ingredients in a bowl and you're done. Your face will be soft and glowing after using this honey and glycerin mask. Some people even call it a miracle mask!

Silky Smooth Legs

It's finally time ladies. Time for your legs to come out of hiding. Those bright colored skirts & lacy shorts now have their time to shine! We have something pretty great to pair with those short shorts. How about the silkiest legs ever? Trust me you won't be able stop touching your legs because they are so soft. This little concoction is made with three ingredients found in your own kitchen. It exfoliates & softens legs at the same time. Just mix up the ingredients, apply to wet legs, shave. Rinse legs & repeat the process once more. It's that simple. You don't necessarily have to do this every day either, just when you want those extra sexy legs. Which might just be all the time when you discover how great this is. In that case, Go for it girl!

Rose Water Facial Spray

Fiesta is absolutely one of our favorite times of the year but it wreaks havoc on our skin. All the smoke, heat & humidity has our skin crying for help. We have a secret weapon that instantly gives you that extra bit of hydration anytime of the day. It's just two ingredients & it takes 5 minutes to make, if that. It's a rose oil facial spray. When you apply rose oil it helps to retain moisture making your skin look soft & supple. Rose oil can also control the greasy appearance of skin. Which is perfect for summer's here in TX!

oil DOES fight oil

If someone had told me a while back that you could wash your face with olive oil I would've called them crazy straight to their face. I mean come on my t-zone is oily enough, why would I put oil on top of oil?

DON'T be afraid of applying oil to your face. Oil, alone, will not bring you blemishes. Pimples, blackheads, & whiteheads are caused by different things including hormones, bacteria & dead skin cells.

The thing is, when you use soap or cleanser on your skin, you are stripping your skin of its natural oils. But those oils have a purpose - they make your skin softer and more supple and they provide a protective layer to keep dirt out of your pores. Oil pulls out the gunk and debris from your pores and moisturizes your skin. It can remove excess oil, but it doesn't throw your skin out of balance. Just remember all skin types are different. My skin loved it, hopefully yours will too!

 

You can never go wrong with Oatmeal

I have discovered something really amazing & I know everybody has it in their pantry too. Oatmeal! I'm telling you this one thing has transformed my skin. Recently I broke out into a horrible rash when I switched moisturizers. My skin was red & blotchy for days. The only thing that revived my skin was oatmeal.

Oatmeal is great as a facial cleanser, face mask or even a body scrub. It helps to brighten my skin & it exfoliates @ the same time. This is one thing you can use daily & it won't clog your pores, plus it's cheap. I've been doing some research into all the products I use on my face & I'm not very happy. Who wants to put that many chemicals on their face? From now on I'm going the natural route & oatmeal is my secret weapon!
