Blowin' It Up!

Learning how to blow out my hair took a while, ok to be honest it took months to perfect. I watched video's and read magazines and I finally came up with my own way. I know y'all are probably thinking "but I can just get my hair blown out at a salon" which is true but think of the money you could save. Plus that feeling of accomplishment when your hair comes out bouncy and full of volume, and knowing you did it all on your own. Alright enough with all this pep talk and lets get to it!

Step 1. I put John Freida Frizz Ease and Suave Volumizing Mousse in my damp hair but you can use whichever products you would like. Next I blow dry my hair till its about 80% dry. ( leave it a tiny bit damp)

Step 2. Start at the bottom of your head and take your round brush, take about 1 inch sections of hair. Wrap your hair around the bristles and pull taut. Start blowdrying your hair and at the same time slowly pull the brush down the section of hair.

Step 3. When you finish blow drying each 1 inch section of hair make sure to give it one last blast of warm air. Then keep your hair wrapped around your brush for about 10 seconds then release your hair from the brush. By holding the brush in your hair for that 10 seconds it holds the curl and gives it some bounce.

Step 4. When you reach the crown of your head put all the existing hair in the front of your face. We're going to start bringing the hair from the front to give it extra volume.

Step 5. After you blow dry each 1 inch sections of hair at your crown take the blow dryer and blast the back of your hair to get extra volume. Leave the hair wrapped around the brush for about 20 seconds. Leave your hair wrapped around the brush for longer at the crown, you want to achieve EXTRA volume. (pay a little more attention to your hair at the crown)

Step 6. When your done with styling your hair give it one last blast of cool air. It helps to fight frizz. Then set your hair with a little bit of hairspray and enjoy your va va voom hair. Now get out there and strut your stuff!
