Drink Up!
I'm not sure if being excited about an alcohol drink is a good thing or not, but we were really excited to make this white sangria! It was so simple a baby could do it. Keep in mind we don't condone any baby making an alcoholic beverage (that would be amazing though, right?) This recipe is amazingly delicious and quickly climbing the charts to be a #1 must have for FIESTA! Your going to love it!

Margarita's with a braid on the side
Fiesta isn't all about food, margarita's & cascarones. Ok maybe it's all about margaritas!! But it's also about fashion & accessories for us. We want to be fashionable & COOL @ the same time (it tends to be in the upper 90's during Fiesta) So anytime I can pull my hair off my neck is a blessing. For those of you that live in TX 'm glad you can relate to us :) I usually just wear my hair curly for fiesta but this year I'm really into braids so yes this tutorial has a braid, I knew y'all wouldn't mind
STEP 1. Gather your hair into a twist on one side
STEP 2. Take your bobby pin & secure the twist down
STEP 3. Pull the remaining hair into a side ponytail
STEP 4. Braid the side ponytail
STEP 5. Grab one strand of hair from the end of the ponytail, pull that exact piece
STEP 6. As you pull that piece of hair from the ponytail, push the braid up @ the same time
STEP 7. Now that your bun is pushed up take your bobby pins & pin it into place
STEP 8. Since the bun is finally pinned into place add a flower right @ the ear
*I like to spray a little dry shampoo right @ the roots for a little extra hold & volume

Viva Ceviche
When I was thinking of food posts for our Fiesta week a friend of mine suggested ceviche. My immediate reaction was "yeah right I'm not making that" but I didn't let him know I was thinking that. I did like every girl would I smiled & let him talk. Finally when he said I didn't have to cook the fish I got a little excited (fish is one thing I haven't cooked & I don't plan on doing it for a while) He said that the lime juice does all the cooking for you, now that sounds like my kind of recipe. I also found this video that helped a ton. All you do is chop, dice & voila! Plus I have to admit I have some mean knife skills if I do say so myself!

Fiesta San Antonio!
If your in San Antonio from now until the 29th I suggest you drop all the plans you have and hit up some awesome FIESTA events. Its the one time of the year when the whole city parties till the sun comes up, c’mon you don’t wanna be left out! Here are 5 events we would never miss!
King William Fair- This fair is one of the coolest events (literally) all the hipsters hang here and its for a good reason. There is so much local talent in the great city and this is where people showcase it. If your interested in the local bands, painters and designers this is where you need to be. We will be there with our fedora’s and ray bans, but I’m sure everyone else will be too. Good luck finding us!

** Be ready to spend money here, the art is one of a kind!
Oyster Bake- It’s a huge carnival type event that has everything anyone could love from rock music to country and tejano. Lets not forget the food. Turkey legs and chicken on a stick are a must. But don’t be fooled it really is just chicken on a stick, but its DELICIOUS! And if course the whole reason people gather, OYSTERS! They are awesome and come prepared any way you like them!
NIOSA- Which stands for "Night In Old San Antonio". This event attracts about 90% of our city but its worth the elbow rubbing. They have tons and tons of different foods from all different cultures as well as all kinds of different music from every genre. If you head down there the Irish section is always a blast. Grab a beer and a chalupa and enjoy everything San Antonio has to offer!
Alamo Heights Night- This event is similar to NIOSA except its a little more on the upscale side. They have actual restaurants catering the booths set up and the blue margaritas are the best! Rick Cavender’s band plays every year, so if your into 70’s and 80’s music you will love them. They even have a shuttle that takes you to and from the actual event. The bus my be our favorite part, aside from the blue maragaritas of course!
Fiesta Flambeau Parade- Its the largest illuminated night parade in the nation! Im serious (look it up) Parades are the funnest of all events. Tons of floats go by with everyone from “fiesta royalty” to grown men in tiny cars, those guys are the best! Take your own ice chests, grab a seat and enjoy the scenery. If you happen to see us, be prepared to get squirted with a water gun. Its tradition!

This time of year in San Antonio is, well basically its a huge party and the whole city is invited! Its called Fiesta and we couldn't be more excited for it. It's a 10 day long non stop rager with lots of food, drinks, music and dancing. We get really involved in everything Fiesta related so make sure to look out for all our Fiesta related posts
If you were reading our blog circa...last year, you maybe familiar with these posts. Were going to have some awesome DIYS, delicious food and drinks and some drunken "stepped out ins" so grab your sombrero and maracas and pretend your partying with us; we'll pretend too so it wont be so weird!
VIVA FIESTA!
(We also have a new header courtesy of Katy, fiesta related of course. Tell us what you think!)

Stepped out in: PF Changs edition!

It's always a successful jumping picture when Katy's in the air!
Us ladies hardly ever get a day off together, so when we do...well, we eat! Food is the way to a ladies heart right? Oh wait, I think that's a mans heart. Either way we like to eat - but I'm sure you can tell, well with all the recipes on the blog and all. We chowed down on some moo goo gai pan, crab won tons and crispy green beans. Oh look I'm getting hungry again.
We stopped to shop (go figure) and to take pictures, and well I stopped to show off my newly tatted shoulder. It's no blonde bedhead but I'm in love with it! Now that I'm tatted I think I'll go get in a fight at a biker bar.

Milk Maid Braids for shorter hair
Let's face it finding hairstyles for shorter hair is a little difficult. Now that katy recently cut her hair we're all ridin' the "girl's with short hair" train. Hey in this Tx heat a girl needs a major haircut! I miss a lot of styles I used to do with my longer hair. The one style I miss the most is the milk maid braids. Now I have to resort to a little imagination to come up with "shorter" hairstyles. This hairstyle is incredibly easy. All you need is bobby pins & some hairspray. So from now on just call me Olga!STEP 1. Grab a section of hair from right above your ear. Don't worry about the rest of your hair you're going to leave it down anyways.
STEP 2. Start braiding that section of your hair. I like to start braiding right where my ear is.
STEP 3. Take that piece of hair that you just braided & bring it to the opposite side of your head.
STP 4. Once that braid is brought to the opposite side of your head secure it with bobby pins. Try to conceal the bobby pins as much as possible. Set with hairspray
*repeat these exact steps on the opposite side of your hair

Rosy Posy
Spring is all about getting that healthy glow. What better way to do that than with a little bronzer & some rosy cheeks. If I could take one piece of makeup with me on a deserted island it would be blush. Ok maybe a good lip balm & my eyelash curler but hey who's counting. Rosy cheeks are so easy to achieve. You can even swap out that rosy color for a good peach blush & bam you have a
"just came back from the beach" look. Now go get GLOWING!!
By the way all the makeup I used is from IMAN, we absolutely LOVE their makeup!

Blue Moonin'
Blue Moon beer is definitely becoming one of our favorite beers. We put it in margarita's (click here) & now we put it in lemonade. It's definitely a refreshing drink made just for spring & summer. If you have blue moon beer & lemonade you already have the drink made. Now let's see what else can we put blue moon in, any ideas?

Flirty Florals
If i could have it my way i would wear head to toe floral everyday...they put me in the cheeriest mood! I have been dying to get my hands on these floral pants from H&M (#6) but sadly H&M is 5 hours away from me, and they don't offer online shopping. What's up with that? I'll just have to settle for some other floral stuff for now, luckily florals are everywhere!
Here are some of my fav's...
